"Beowulf the Great"

Beowulf the great was granted with gratitude.

He sacrifice his life to safe people's life's.

His courage controlled and cease the catastrophe.

He needed no gang, naught to beat Grendel.

The Villain's virtue was vile and fear.

Beowulf's great gist was to gladden his king.

His help helped it be more habitable.

Many meaningful difrences were made.

Happily ending the horrendous horrow they lived.

They peacefully lived pleacent and protected.

My favorite part of Beowulf.

Whats my favorite part of Beowulf......

"I have heard, too, that the monster's scorn of men is so great that he needs no weapons and fears none. Nor will I. My lord Higlac might think less of me if I let my sword go where my feet were afraid to, if I hid behind some broad linden shield: my hands alone shall fight for me, struggle for life against the monster. God must decide who will be given to death's cold grip." (p.g. 14)

The reason I like this part of Beowulf it's because it shows how brave he is. How he has no fear against Grendel and is willing to fight him even if it's the last thing he duos. But he knows it's not up to him to decide but to God. He will decide who will be the winner. For him it will just be a clear and fear fight just like any other. But he knew it was for his king and people of the Village own good. Here is where I think he showed his true Epic Hero braveness.

Queen Elizabeth I of England

Sometimes called "The Virgin queen,Gloriana or Good Queen Bess. Elizabeth was the 5th and last monarch of the Turdor dynasty.
Besides being a princes she was a very educated young lady.
Elizabeth could write English, Latin and Italian. She also progressed in French and Greek. By the time her formal education ended in 1550 she was the best educated woman of her generation.

The only thing stopping Elizabeth of becoming Queen was her sister Queen Mary, she had to give birth to a healthy child the next king/queen. But when she was pronounced not pregnant Elizabeth was the most likely to become queen. So after her sister's death she was pronounced queen on November 17,1558. When she was 25 year's old.

She had many accomplishments such as, being able to be a great ruler all by herself. Being known as a great Queen. A historical accomplishment was how she manage to handle and end the War against Spain in 1604 and lower taxes.

And even if she had many challenges in her childhood as she was growing up she dirent let nothing get in her way. Such as growing up with no mother and moving from place to place and bein imprisoned because of the suspicion of supporting protestant rebels. With her pleading her innocence.At a young age she whent thruw many things which in a way help her grow stronger making her understand she herself was all she needed to survive.

The Anglo-Spanish War. Spanish influence along the channel coast of france, where the Catholic League was strong, and exposed England to invasion. The English and the Dutch reacted in August 1585 with the Treaty of nonsuch. Where Elizabeth pressured by her advisor's promised militaty support to the Dutch. This is what started the Angle-Spanish War. Which lasted until the treaty of london in 1604. This is one of the war's she was involved in.

Queen Elizabeth died lonely with no children, and no relatives to mention. She was the last of her race. She died in March 24, 1603. Her name was well know as a great Queen which will allways be rememberd with respect in History.

Which is one of the reasons I picked her because she proved to many she needed no man to rule or make desicions. And well besides having such a beutiful name she was a strong person inside out.

Introducing Myself

Well my name is Elizabeth Hernandez, I"m a very sweet and caring person. Even thought sometimes I really do run out of patients. But I try to control myself by being more patient and understandable.

Last Christmas I went to go do community hours at a homeless shelter called Ubuntu. I met a nine year old girl named Jessica, I also got to be her secret Santa.One of the things I'm never going to forget is the look on her face when I gave her the soccer ball she always wanted, or at lies she wanted for Christmas.She was also very surprise because she saw I was her secret Santa. Because I would always tees her but in a good way making her laugh. Those moments where days I"m never going to forget especially the look on her face the big smile she gave me and the hug. If felt so nice making her smile, at the end I diren't even care about my grade the look on her face made it all worth while.

One of the things my mom told me when I ask her why she named me Elizabeth was that as soon as my dad found out that I was going to be a girl he said,"her name is going to be Elizabeth and that's final" he told me that because he really like that name for me he said,"it's a beautiful name for my beautiful daughter."


-List 15 fun goals you would like to accomplish by June, 2009.
1)First of all become a senior and gradate by 2009.
2)Race my GPA to at lies a 2.6.
3)Get at lies higher than a 15 on my ACT.
4)Pass all my classes with no D's.
5)Get a rank in J.R.O.T.C.
6)Go to many many parties!!
7)Got to the Homecoming Dance.
8)Got to the military Ball.
9)Go to Six Flags Friday Fest.
10)Get a job.
11)Get my driving permit.
12)Raise my grades up.
13)Finish my 40 hours of community service I need to graduate.
14)Try not to get no more than 10 detentions.
15)And lastly try to improve myself inside out become a better person by been more sophisticated.
